Last year I traveled to Estates Colorado in the Rocky Mountains. My sister at time found a internship at Missouri, and so she needed to be dropped off at her apartment for the summer. So my parents decided to take a vacation to Colorado after we dropped my sister off. We spent one night at Missouri and made sure my sister was settled. The next day we made our way to Colorado, let me tell you the experience was breath taking and peaceful. Some tips for traveling through Kansas is you better have a tight stomach when coming through the state, because all you smell is cow poo. Yes, unfortunately our ride was not so pleasant. While passing through Kansas I saw a unique phenomenon. You know how you can see heavy clouds and you know it's about to rain. Well, what you don't know is the clouds are actually moving downward closer to the ground, then they release the rain. That's exactly what I saw in Kansas, and you can't see that unless the land is literally nothing but corn fields. Another thing about Kansas it's sad to see the land, because a lot of Kansas is corn fields. There's no trees, grass, houses, or forests. All the land is made out of corn fields, and mass cow butcher companies. It's sad to be honest because I come from Indiana, and where I live is beautiful. It's all green, there's houses here and there, and at night it's peaceful, there's no cars or loud city noises it's all peaceful. Nevada and some states around Kansas are the same way. So anyways after we cross the border from Kansas to Colorado we made our way to Estates in the Rocky Mountains. The first sight of the Rocky Mountains was amazing and beautiful. When I reached the destination as I got out of the car I literally had a hard time breathing, because how high we were in the mountains. Overall, I found so many parts of Colorado peaceful, and breath taking. We had to end our trip two days early, because literally the weather went to fall weather in may. To lake affect winter weather in may, the snow was literally 5 to 7 inches of snow. My dad told us we had to leave that day because the snow was going to be a foot by tonight. So we left first thing in the morning, and on our way home we also had severe weather, with tornado warning right behind us. Luckily we got out on time and we made it home safely. Overall, the trip was worth it, and I recommend anyone to go unless you are physically ill.
