Belize Study Abroad Trip March 2019

This spring semester I decided to do a study abroad trip in Central America particularly in Belize. The course was a combined with four other courses such as anthropology, dentistry, health promotion, and sustainability. I ended up taking the sustainability course since I needed to complete a course for my minor in sustainability. At first I was super scared, anxious, and nervous it was going to be the first time traveling without my family. I was scared because I recently visited Nicaragua let me tell you it was a heck of a ride because of the revolution. The experience I had in Nicaragua was scary and stressful at times. I thought Belize was going to be same way since it's the neighboring country of Nicaragua. I was excited overall I knew it was once in a life time chance and I was going to love it. Topsail North Carolina/Virginia May 2016

Topsail North Carolina I would say is my favorite vacation, because I loved how I did not have to care about anything except to just relax. Me and my family including my sister, mom, and dad decided to go on vacation for the second year in a row. We left in our car and began our journey to North Carolina. When we arrived at Virginia went on a hike to sight see and look at the scenery. My family wanted to go on a 10 mile hike but I was not up to it and neither was my mom. It was a nice sunny day outside and it was nice to enjoy the ride through Virginia so many mountains and land. We rested for the night at a hotel, the next day we made our way to North Carolina and finally arrived at the condo. Me and my sister shared a room, and my mom and dad had their own. The best part of the room I was me and my sister shared a teen bump bed. But the best part siting in the bottom bunk was to see the  beach scenery from the patio/balcony sliding door. Estates Colorado May 2017

Last year I traveled to Estates Colorado in the Rocky Mountains. My sister at time found a internship at Missouri, and so she needed to be dropped off at her apartment for the summer. So my parents decided to take a vacation to Colorado after we dropped my sister off. We spent one night at Missouri and made sure my sister was settled. The next day we made our way to Colorado, let me tell you the experience was breath taking and peaceful. Some tips for traveling through Kansas is you better have a tight stomach when coming through the state, because all you smell is cow poo. Yes, unfortunately our ride was not so pleasant. While passing through Kansas I saw a unique phenomenon. You know how you can see heavy clouds and you know it's about to rain. Well, what you don't know is the clouds are actually moving downward closer to the ground, then they release the rain. Nicaragua June 2018

            So I will start out with one of my trips I went to this past summer. It was not the best vacation trip,  let me just say it was more of a learning experience. Let me start out by saying I went to Nicaragua La Trinidad, with my mom, dad, and sister. My mom side of the family lives there, and I have not seen my grandfather for over 14 years because of immigration. With that in mind I have not seen my uncle who is mentally ill, and my other uncle for over 14 years as well. Let tell you our trip over all was very expensive no joke. When we arrived at the Managua airport at 7:00 at night, we were tired and ready to go to sleep. But our night did not end there. On our way to La Trinidad we were stopped by three block aids. The worst part was we did not know that there was block aids. People in Nicaragua at the time were fighting a revolution.
